Prionolepis is a genus of predatory fish from the Upper Cretaceous period roughly 95-90 million years ago that grew to around 25cm long. This genus currently contains 3 species which have been found in Lebanon and England.
This specimen reveals the bodies of several fish that have fallen prey to the Prionolepis.
