The Hammerhead bat, Hypsignathus monstrosus, is distributed throughout Central and Western Africa where it is considered an agricultural pest and hunted for bushmeat.  The Hammerhead bat is the most sexually dimorphic bat species in the world, (and largest in Africa) with the males possessing a large nasal resonating chamber which amplifies their honking sounds.
