Rose quartz is the name given to pink varieties of the silicate mineral quartz, owing this colour to microscopic inclusions of dumortierite. This mineral is found abundantly around the world most notably in Madagascar, Brazil and the USA, in large masses but very infrequently as crystalline structures.
